THEM: Self-development sounds boring, hard, and selfish.
ME: So does being unhappy…
My life changed forever in 2004 after I made the very straightforward decision to choose ME.
At the time, I was in the most painful chapter of my life.
I had an eating addiction and a body image disorder.
I was stuck in a deadly cycle of low self-esteem, over-eating, and depression.
And it was only until after I finally committed to looking inward and digging into my physical, social, spiritual, and mental well being…
That I could finally turn the ship around.
Here’s the truth – the outer world doesn’t shine until the inner you glows.
Ever heard me say that we gotta ‘give from the saucer?’ Yep – you gotta fill your cup first so it’s overflowing, then and only then, are you able to give, live, and love.
AKA – take care of yourself first, and every other area of your life will fall into place.
And that’s why I now shake my head when people say that self-development is hard.
Because, instead…
Being unhappy is hard.
Having no patience for your children is hard.
Not feeling worthy is hard.
Never having time or energy for anything is hard.
Constantly imagining that life could be better is hard.
But waking up every day knowing your purpose, and being fulfilled with where you are in life… that’s not hard.
That’s FREEING.
Does it take commitment? Absolutely.
But you get to trust the process.
You get to trust that things can improve and will improve.
My encouragement to you is to go ahead and book a call with our team and LEAN it to what you truly want in life. (We can help you find out what that is!).
What I know and what research has shown, is that women who are happiest are the ones that are in touch with their true selves.
That’s right –
Not food, not a man, not sex, not money…
THEMSELVES.
I want this for you.
Ultimately, it doesn’t matter how great every outside strategy you have in place is – your scheduling strategy, business strategy, conflict resolution strategy, or even health strategy… because if you haven’t done the inner work, the moment life gets hard, the strategy is Out. The. Window. Your inner work is the strategy for everything. Book a call with our team right now by sending an email to support@kerrytepedino.com, and we will give you an honest rundown on how to divide and conquer your self-development goals.
Cheering you on!
