Hi Meredith!
The recipe I usually use for crackers is:
- Use my juice pulp, add about 1/2 c flax meal, have fun with a few spices, 3 tbsp of Braggs amino acids or something of the sort, 1/4-1/2 c filtered water. I mix them all together, spread on the dehydrator sheet and for about 4 hours have it on 115 degrees, flip them over and do another 4 hours on the other side.

A good rice cracker recipe is:
- Boil 1/2 c rice and 1.5 c water with a pinch of celtic sea salt. Turn down the heat and simmer for about 45 mins. Let it cool. Can play with different spices here too. Get creative, have fun! Spoon the rice onto your dehydrator sheet and try the same settings as you used for the first recipe. If you are using an oven, then bake them at 325 for about 45 minutes.

Come back and let us know how it goes. Definitely let us know your fun spice combos!
Enjoy!

Hi, Kerry! This one looks great, too. I was wondering if you have a healthy recipe for rice crackers. I do have a brand I buy, but would love to make some. Thanks!

Wow, Katie... it is never a good time to get such news, is it? I am sorry, but hang in there! There is so much that you can do to feel as if you are contributing to the situation in a positive way.

Here are the answers to your questions:

I feed Diego, who is now 35 pounds, about a cup and a half in the morning and again at night. He gets fun snacks throughout the day, such as almonds, seeds, and raw veggies. I have not been combining it with dry food, although I have looked into one line just this week. The verdict is still out on my opinion, so you can check back with me even in a week and I can update you.

One thing that I am now changing is that I am crockpotting or baking the meat and keeping the veggies totally raw or cooked under 118 degrees. This keeps the enzymes alive. You can use a candy thermometer if you are cooking them. A light steam is great too. I steam the yams or sweet potatoes.Diego never got diarrhea from the food change. What you could do is slowly transition them by adding half and half for a week, until their tummies get used to it. Make sure that you are using BROWN RICE not white. White is a simple carb and will turn into sugar in his system. You do not want to feed the cancer!

Please note some new supplements that I am using:
- Mushroom Matrix... I can't remember if it is by Animal Essentials and I am not at home. Many brands carry the mushroom matrix.
- Organic Flax seed oil
- A few organic garlic cloves
- I am looking into including iodine... feeding them seaweed, kelp, nori, etc is also great. I do both
- I just switched from Animal Essentials Seaweed Extract and Animal Essentials Multi Vit to Call Of The Wild Canine and Feline Nutritional Support. I did this because it seemed I could get everything in the one product, plus it is more economical. Better product, better price perhaps? I am checking it out.
- I am still using Aloha Medicinals K9 Immunity as well as their Transfer Factor and Omega 3s (make sure your omegas are a combo of 3, 6, and 9)

Is Taste of The Wild the same as Call Of The Wild? I know Call Of The Wild is a decent brand. What is in the Hills?

Also check out this book by Lauri Kaplan, she includes recipes: http://www.amazon.com/Help-Your-Dog-Fight-Cancer/dp/0975479474/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323656653&sr=8-1

I am here for you! Feel free to reach out again.

Hugs and aarfs,
Kerry and Diego
