My Dog Diego Isn’t Ready For Good-Bye!

Have you ever gotten terrible news that you never expected to hear? You know… the kind that literally knocks the wind out of you? I did last week and it has changed me.

I want to let you into my personal world and share my journey with you. I want my experience to be one that others going through something similar can gain something from, hopefully making their path easier.

As many of you know, I am highly committed to living my life by design, not default, and the fact that I have built my life like this has allowed me the opportunity to be by Diego’s side every step of the way. It has made me that more passionate about lifestyle coaching and helping you get a life that allows you to call the shots as well.

I am incredibly dedicated to the launch of You-Defining-You Intensive (click here to find out more). With the unfolding of the past week, the official launch date has been moved to June 15th. Obama Pays Kudos To My Grandma AGAIN!

Yep, my family is eating this up! We are so proud. Last night I caught word through what we call in Hawaii, the Coconut Wire, that once again, President Obama paid kudos to Grandma (Mabel Hefty). This time he even went into detail about the first day he ever walked into her classroom and who she was for him.

Needless to say it moved me to tears.

I wanted to share it with you, my tribe. Note that he talks about her around minute 3… just a heads up.

My grandma was his favorite teacher growing up and an amazing woman. She believed that every single person has the capability to live fully into their potential and into their dreams… just like I believe.

With all my heart I want you to understand that the life you want is right there at your fingertips. Please, please take it.

And THANK YOU to all of you who are not only teaching our children, but also holding space for any person to thrive and see how wonderful they truly are.

Obama Pays Tribute To My Grandma On National TV!

So, last night I get a call from my parents who are incredibly excited. As they were cooking dinner they happened to have Jeopardy on in the background, as they do a few nights a week.

President Obama was giving the opening remarks for the Inaugural Teachers Tournament, paying special tribute to how important good teachers are to our children.

Mom’s ears perk up when she hears Obama mention grandma’s name, Mabel Hefty, who was his 5th grade teacher, paying a special tribute to her that you can hear here.


It is a special little clip that I wanted to share with you, especially those of you that are positively affecting our future generations.

Thanks to all of you who are passionate teachers, taking time out for each child to be unique, noticed, special, and loved.

Secret Step To Living A Life You Love

“If there is no passion in your life, then have you really lived? Find your passion, whatever it may be. Become it, and let it become you and you will find great things happen FOR you, TO you, and BECAUSE of you.”     – T. Alan Armstrong

A life void of passion is not a life at all in my eyes. It is absolutely your choice to create a life that you are thrilled to wake up to every day. There are plenty of people in the world that have worked hard in creating a life that is based on passions similar to yours. Why not you? This world is a cup overflowing with much abundance, you just need to choose to indulge!

What is it that you love to do and would do even if you didn’t get paid for it? If it is not your main occupation at this point, find ways to integrate it into your life. Create relationships with others who are leading a life that you would love to have. Ask them how they got there. Learn from their mistakes. When you are in alignment and loving your life, doors will open and miracles will begin to occur on a regular basis. Find your passion. Get clear on what a life you love looks like. Sit quietly and feel it as your reality. Integrate these things into your daily routines and see the life you want unfold in front of your eyes!

A great exercise is to create a Life Map of a life you would love to have. Grab a huge piece of paper that you can list life categories that are important to you. For me it is Family, Friends, Work, Fun, Spirituality, Home, Love, Money, and Health. Then list the different things that you are committed to focusing on in each one of those areas. For example in my Home box I listed: sacred, safe, zen like, welcoming, and invest in a new home with a garden and yard this year. I now have better clarity on what I am going to manifest, offering me the opportunity to take a hard look at the steps I need to take to attain that goal. I actually break down each category into separate, more detailed maps listing milestones and goal dates. I do that because it works for me.

If you do not know where you are heading, it is much harder to get there. So, create your Life Map, have fun with it and don’t hold back. When you put that information on paper there is a certain level of commitment that starts to percolate inside. I am so excited for each of you to create a life that you are passionate about! Take life from a place of simply existing to a place of thriving!
